Long River Middle School
Interior Graphic project, the goal was to focus on school spirit and brand identity. The process started with logo recreation in Adobe Illustrator, then a mood-board. After gathering inspiration, the ideas were pitched to my assigned Interior Designer. Narrowing down our favorite inspiration pictures the space was then recreated
in a 2D format with the measurements being 1/10th of the actual space. After space recreation the inspiration is applied using adobe vector assets and the
school assets provided. For this project, the mascot was a Wildcat with their school colors being gold and black. The client wanted a modernized space with school spirit being the primary message. Looking over their website I knew I could use more mature graphics beings that it was a middle school. Aware of this I pulled in cat scratches and grunge texture to apply a strong sense of spirit. The ceiling was pretty low, and wide, so I wanted the paint pattern to be vertical to make the space feel taller. The diagonal became a staple of mine whilst designing as I thought it opened up a lot of these tiny spaces. The cat eyes created a large sense of school pride, my ultimate goal.
